Educators and Students

The United Nations Associations and the UNA-GP work closely with local Universities and High Schools to educate future generations about current issues and promote advocacy. Promoting awareness of local and global issues is an important mission of the UN, and we do our part in making sure that we equip future generations with the knowledge and drive necessary to address tomorrow's global challenges.

UNA-USA has all types of materials necessary for students and teachers to help them in their understanding of the UN. The UNA-USA has a history of starting Model UNs. Its Philadelphia chapter (UNA-GP) is currently working on an alternative Model UN that would focus on International NGOs such as Oxfam and Red Cross.

Educators can get specific help from the UNA-GP when searching for speakers or seeking literature on certain topics (the UN’s work, the UN’s history). The UNA-GP promises to provide direct or indirect help to teachers, as needed. Local and national programs are also available through our website.

Students who want to learn more about the UN can email info@una-gp.org to ask specific questions. If they are seeking projects for community service, exam preparations, or fundraising projects, they can also email info@una-gp.org and we will get back to them within a few days. The students can also look at the links on our website to get more information about our partners and more information about the UN and UNA-USA.
